At the 2026 National Council On Education In The Ceramic Arts Conference, I attended a presentation titled From Combat To Clay. It was a moving presentation describing how exposure and involvement in the arts affect veterans. I spoke to the presenters afterwards and told them that I wold like to get involved in the veteran community by offering access to my studio at no cost to them. They then invited me to a gathering of veterans where I was introduced and explained my offer and described my studio.
