Mia Voce, Intern

I’ve been working with clay since my freshman year of high school, when I decided to take a ceramics class with a friend. I immediately fell in love with the process and range of possibilities that the material provided me with. Ceramics and sculpture offer me a dynamic way to express myself creatively and have been a vehicle through which I’ve met and worked together with some of my closest friends.

I’m currently a student at Wellesley College, so having the opportunity to continue my artistic journey and learning at the Potters Shop & School is an amazing opportunity.

I try to incorporate an element of nature in my work, which mainly consists of smaller wheel thrown pieces and sculpted human figures, primarily thrown to cone 6.
